Bregenz Festspielhaus Forecourt Platz der Wiener Symphoniker A park-like square is being created in the conglomerate of various open spaces between the town of Bregenz and Lake Constance, an expanse appropriate to the highly frequented area in its different capacities of high urbanity during the festival and use as a park providing a fluent atmospheric exterior space in everyday life. The vegetation and the choice of the ground cover are orientated towards the nearby surrounding natural spaces of the lake shores. Thus the new design fits in harmoniously with the surroundings and, in addition to providing a high-quality public space, creates a high degree of transparency with regards to orientation and accessibility.
