Exhibition in the Architekturgalerie Munich
City Square Landscape
The potential of the city landscape is the heterogeneity of the city. Nature in the city comes in many different forms. The development of this diversity is only possible in the existing varied urban structure.
The projects from the Munich region displayed in the exhibition show how design concepts for specific places come into being. In the case of the design of the surroundings of the Allianz Arena, it is not only the periods of time immediately before and after a match that are important, during which enormous streams of visitors have to be conducted from the parking deck, the bus and or the underground station to the stadium and back again, but also the times in which no matches take place and the esplanade is at the disposal of the population as a recreational area.
The München-Giesing municipal station square forms a strongly contrasting programme to the moor landscape of the football stadium, thereby drawing attention to the complexity and multifarious nature of the profession, whose credibility is based on intensive, in-depth analyses of the history and nature of the place.
